Tick-Tock-Tick-Tock. The wedding day is quickly approaching!

As quickly as 2010 came and left 2011 will soon be a distant memory. With the wedding day [10-8-11] quickly approaching I can’t allow myself to be too comfortable with the present. This scares me. No, wait. It terrifies me. The good news is that I will close escrow on a beautiful home [finally] and that opens up my income to pay for deposits, invitations, and all the bank account draining wedding related fun stuff. Pedal to the metal, finish line ahead!

On December 4th I woke up to an “urgent” marked alert on my phone. It was from my Chase Mobile Banking app. I won’t disclose the amount but A LOT OF FREAKIN’ MONEY HAS BEEN WITHDRAWN FROM MY ACCOUNT. Horrified, I ran straight to my computer in nothing but my boxers, eye boogers in tact, and logged into my bank account to see what had happened. My heart stopped and my stomach dropped to the floor as I waited for my account’s main screen to load. [CLICK] “View your account statement.” “Loading”…….. *wipes away eye crust*……..  [CLICK][CLICK][CLICK][CLICK][CLICK] dammit hurry up and load!! When the page finally finished loading I exhaled in excitement and relief. The down payment I made on our new home has funded! I don’t remember how much time I spent jumping around and doing my happy dance before I realized I was still in my boxers D:… who cares!? I’m a homeowner now!

With the down payment gone that meant Kissa and I could finally pay for stuff! Almost immediately I wrote the check to make the first of our monthly payment plan to [seven-degrees], sent our deposit to Ja Tecson Photography, as well as a laundry list of vendors and online stores for anything and everything wedding related. Last thing I want to buy is a fresh pair of kicks I found; patent leather Adidas mid’s in our wedding turquoise blue!

Swag on deck, lettin’ y’all know, I do it BIG on wedding day! I gotta be as fly as my Bride, right?

2010 is a memory, 2011 is our present, and October 8th is the first day of our future. I feel like every event leading up to this day couldn’t have happened without yesterday’s prerequisite. God truly works in mysterious ways and with his guidance this race to the finish line isn’t as scary as I keep thinking it might be :)
